It was the time of the Passover. Jesus was with His disciples in the upper room. They were sharing a meal and remembering the event when God had free His people by passing over their homes marked with the sacrificial blood of the lamb. Jesus knew full well that He was to be the sacrificial Lamb the very next day and shared the bread and wine as symbols of His body broken and His blood poured out for the sins of mankind. We will commemorate this supper that Jesus had with His disciples this evening.
