It is that time of year when the homeless are especially looking for shelter from the elements. The Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless shelter in Albany is one such place that people come to for shelter and other helps in life. The shelter gives out toiletries to each person who comes through the door to find a bed for rest. At ERC, during the month of February, we have traditionally collected those items and provided them in a handmade cloth bag, and we will continue to do so this year.

Currently we have 16 bags available to be filled, but are in need of people to make more bags. They are very easy to make and are a great way to use those leftover pieces of material from other projects. For instructions on how to make a bag click here for the video and/or the written instructions. The list of items to fill the bags with, is below. If you need a bag to fill, stop by the church to get one or you can bring your items in and fill one here. Thanks in advance for your willingness to help out those in need!
