The learning we are to do goes way beyond what kids get at Sunday School. Jesus was referred to at Teacher by seekers and followers alike. One reason learning so important is because truth is central to Christianity.
Getting the most out of life requires effort and perseverance. It is worth it, and one the things followers of Jesus are promised is Joy! How does it happen?
We believe we are called to Worship God. That means much more than singing songs together, or having a worship service. The understanding of what God wants from you it much deeper and life changing!
What is the purpose of church? There are aspects of church which we cannot get away from. If you truly follow Jesus, then you are bound to other believers. This can be a challenge, but in God’s design it is a great blessing. At ERC we are not just a gathering, but we are a community.

What does adultery have to do with our day to day life and obedience? Fortunately it does not come up on a regular basis. However, as with so many of God’s commands there is much more to them when we dig beneath the surface. Adultery and Stealing both relate to the honest lives which honor God, and move us closer to God’s will.
There is much more to some commands - for example living a life that honors God goes beyond simply not murdering. Jesus unlocks a more life giving understanding of the ancient commands.
God’s ways can seem pretty foreign today. Resting for a whole day - every week? That is not how we think or how our society is designed. And most people are much quicker to blame their parents than honor them. Why would we seek out God’s design for time and family? Well, there are some great reasons that have a real impact on your life.
More and more it not part of our society to honor people. We are an individualistic society, and showing honor is not how we naturally think. So what does it mean to honor God, and how can it impact your life?
