We live our lives surrounded by a crowd, it is called our community, or our society, and if we just copy what everyone else is doing, it does not guarantee a good outcome. To get all that God offers, we need to give up copying others, and get some good directions. Time to follow the Leader.

It seems hard to see the news these days without hearing a discussion of the truth. Actually most media outlets don't use the term truth - rather the preferred term is facts. Well, the opposite of facts is the same as the opposite of truth: LIES.
There are truth and lies in politics, but much closer to home there are lies in our lives which we treat as truth. But these are lies which hold us back, and keep us from doing and being all that God desires.

If we dont get it right, life can feel like running on a treadmill - Using lots of energy, and getting nowhere. How can we help others without killing ourselves? Well, we must give up working to please people. If making everyone happy is your goal, you will never arrive. But there is a better way.

Are you and optimist or a pessimist? How you approach the world matters - your outlook and your attitude have a significant impact on the outcome of just about every situation. The Bible never uses the words optimist or optimism, but it is there so very clearly if you read between the lines. It is not a wishful thinking, unrealistic optimism which can disappoint, but rather at hopeful hope anchored in true security. This message can change your life. (Click here for Sermon Notes)
